Movie Plot: Hiro Hamada is a 14-year-old high school graduate and robotics genius who lives in San Francisco (a port of San Francisco and Tokyo), taking part in an illegal robot battle for most of his free time. To redirect Hiro, his elder brother Tadashi takes him to a research lab at the San Francisco Institute of Technology, where Hiro Tadashi meets friends, Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred. He also meets Robert Kailaghan, head of the robotics program at Hiro University. Amaze, Hiro decided to apply to the university. To enroll, he signs up for school showcase and presents his project: microbots, a bunch of small robots that can be imagined in any arrangement simultaneously using a neurocranial transmitter. At the fair, Hiro rejected Cree Tech CEO Alistair Cree’s offer to market microbots and Callaghan accepted him to school. As the Hamoda family leaves to celebrate the success of Hiro, the showcase hall suddenly caught fire and the only person who runs to save Tadashi Colgan is left inside. Later, the building exploded, killing both of them.
