Movie Plot: Valerie Plam is employed by the Central Intelligence Agency, a fact outside the agency that no one except her husband and parents knows. He is an intelligence officer who is involved in several sensitive and sometimes dangerous covert operations abroad.
Her husband, Joseph C. Wilson is a diplomat who has recently served as us ambassador to Gabon. Due to his earlier diplomatic background in Niger, Wilson is approached by Plam’s CIA colleagues to travel there and is informed whether yellow uranium is being procured by Iraq for use in the manufacture of nuclear weapons. Wilson determines to his satisfaction that it is not.
After George W. Bush took military action, which justifies it at the Union State address of 2003 to explain the use of uranium in the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction, Wilson presented an op-ed piece to The New York Times , in which he claimed to be clearly untrue.
