Movie Plot: Two people disappear along the Appalachian Trail: a young man jogging with his girlfriend and a hermit that hardly leaves his house. Sheriff Grady Barnes (Gary Bische) finds a scar in the woods that takes him to parts of Hermit’s body. That night, young Roy Satterly (Ty Wood) is read by flashlight when a Bengal tiger briefly appears in front of his bedroom window. In the morning, his mother Rose (Marina Stephenson Ker) finds them sleeping in the jungle in front of their home. The next victim’s scene points to an artist as the killer of a tiger hunt, so Sheriff Barnes makes a press conference to warn the public. The Bengal tigers went to Roy’s house again that night.
The tabloid paper offers a reward of $10,000 for tiger, affecting the city from hunters and reporters. The sheriff refuses to go to the jungle and hunt the tiger, but he sees Roy in the woods while exiting with deputy Sharon Wenman (Sarah Constable). They chase, but instead find a dead tabloid reporter. The National Guard is called for help. The sheriff later sees Roy again in the woods and warns him to take him home and give the same warning to Rose. After he has gone, he mistakenly believes that Roy had said about the sheriff that there is a tiger and chases him.
